About Halloran Pike

A two-partner practice in Leeds city centre, advising individuals and businesses on employment law and commercial disputes across West Yorkshire.

The firm

Halloran Pike Solicitors was founded by Aoife Halloran and Daniel Pike, two solicitors who wanted to practise in a firm where clients deal directly with the people handling their matter.

Both partners came from practices where employment law and commercial litigation ran alongside each other. That combination is deliberate. Employment disputes and commercial conflicts frequently arise in the same organisation at the same time: a director removed by shareholders may also face a settlement agreement, a business responding to a breach of contract claim may simultaneously be managing a grievance. Advising across both areas means we understand how those strands connect.

The practice is based at 4th Floor, 12 Park Row in Leeds city centre, close to Leeds railway station. We act for clients across West Yorkshire, including Bradford, Wakefield, Harrogate, York, and Huddersfield.

How we work

Our approach starts with a clear picture of where you stand. We listen to the facts, identify the realistic options, and set out what each option is likely to cost before you commit to anything. That is not a sales pitch; it is the only way to give advice that is actually useful.

We appear regularly at the Leeds Employment Tribunal and at the Business and Property Court in Leeds. For matters that do not need to go to court, we advise on mediation, negotiation, and settlement, and most of our matters resolve before a final hearing.

We keep our client list deliberately focused. Each partner manages their own caseload and speaks with clients directly. There is no trainee buffer and no team of junior fee-earners relaying messages. If you have a question about your matter, you reach the solicitor who is running it.

The partners

Aoife Halloran leads the firm’s employment law practice. She acts for employees facing unfair dismissal and discrimination, and for employers responding to tribunal claims and managing HR risk.

Daniel Pike leads the firm’s commercial litigation work. He acts for businesses and SMEs on contract disputes, shareholder conflict, debt recovery, and professional negligence claims.

Both partners are members of the Law Society. Aoife is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

Both sides

We act for employees and for employers, for claimants and for defendants. That dual perspective shapes every piece of advice we give.

Options, then costs

Before a client decides anything, we set out their realistic options and what each option is likely to cost. That conversation happens at the start, not the invoice.

Grounded in Yorkshire

We are based in Leeds and know the local tribunals, courts, and business landscape from regular practice in them.

Talk it through before you decide anything.
